Bead grids, pegboards and actual bead counts

Compare full-grid bead counts, 5mm-pitch size estimates and pegboard coverage, then open the maker with your chosen grid.

Board size & counts

Full-grid maximum = width × height. A 29×29 pattern with 100 empty cells uses 741 beads. Estimates assume 29×29 cells per board, no overlapping coverage, and 5mm cell pitch before ironing. They are not board outer dimensions or finished sizes. Measure before framing.

A pegboard is not the same as a grid

A 60×60 grid has 3600 possible bead positions. At 5mm pitch it occupies about 30×30cm before ironing, not 60cm. Covering the full grid with non-overlapping 29-cell boards requires 3×3 boards, or nine in total.

Count beads, not empty background

Erased cells need no beads, while white beads still count as material. A sparse design can occupy a smaller bounding area than the full grid. The editor reports actual non-empty counts and occupied bounds separately.

Pixels are not physical dimensions

A larger PNG makes codes easier to inspect but does not add cells. For physical-scale printing, measure your board pitch and verify print scaling. This tool does not provide calibrated, tiled PDFs.
